Watch With Mother

Utterly convincing and very funny sketch from Jane Horrocks. It's a spoof on the 1950s children's TV programmes 'Watch With Mother', which I mentioned in the previous post.

What becomes apparent, on repeat viewings, is the flawlessness of Jane Horrocks' performance. Every little action and inflection and nuance is quite perfect. She remains true to the originals by filming 'live', with no cutaways. The picture of the cake has been inserted into what I suspect was one continuous take. Good actress, to say the least.

Hi Steve,

As Television goes there is nothing worth watching on it anyway. So reading a good book (may be one you have written is a better option.)Looking forward to the new book out in April to see what Baz And Ray get up to.Mines a strong Yorkshire cuppa tea with two sugars in.All the best.

Hi Steve,
Another author I'm in contact with sent me the Frankfurt Bookrights list that he is in and you too were mentioned with a brief synopsis attached, about your new book. I just thought it sounded like another Steve Augarde classic that I'm looking forward to reading. Don't forget mine's a rich tea, thanks!!!!!

Of course. I was forgetting that there's some blurb out there already.

As for it being a classic, well, let's hope so...

Hi steve
It's also on Amazon as well.

This is how goes i hope you don't mind...........if you do take it down......

Ever since the floods came and washed the world away, survivors have been desperate to win a place on X Isle, the island where life is rumoured to be easier than on what's left of the mainland. Only young boys are in with a chance, the smaller and lighter the better. Baz and Ray are two of the lucky few to be chosen, but they soon discover that X-Isle is a far cry from paradise. Ruled by Kido, a dangerous religious fanatic, it's a violent, unpredictable place where terrible things can happen at any moment. Beaten, bullied and in constant fear of Kido's explosive temper, the boys dream of life on the island without their captors. Together with Gene, the island's genius mechanic, Baz and Ray come up with an ambitious plan. A plan that will blow Kido and his men right out of the water. But are they really prepared to kill to secure their freedom?

so they you have!!!

Is it finished?
Do we have a book cover yet?

It sounds quite good doesn't it?

Yes, it's finished, bar final edits, and there is a cover. An illustrator called Steve Stone's is doing a fantastic job of it. I'm not allowed to show anyone yet.
